A

Kangaroo Island Field Day – the concert is back!

sensational line-up of entertainment and speakers will be highlights of the Kangaroo Island Field Day in February.

Pop legend Daryl Braithwaite and country sweetheart Tania Kernaghan will headline the concert starting at dusk on the Field Day – Thursday, February 20, 2014. Organisers are thrilled to have secured such stars for the first field day concert in almost a decade.

Other new events on the day include the Ute Muster, being organised by local farmer and ute man Nathan Bell. He’s hoping to attract ute lovers from the mainland and particularly the Fleurieu Peninsula.

Organisers are keen for the island’s nearest neighbours to get more involved in the bi-annual field day.

“We have a lot of links with farmers on the Fleurieu and we’d love to see a bunch of them over here for the day to enjoy the speakers and entertainment,” Field Day secretary Allison Stott said.

“We’re also keen to hear from business people who would like to exhibit on the day, to add to our growing list. The event is a big one on the calendar every two years for the community over here so exhibitors are sure to get a warm welcome.”

Another highlight of the event is the Farm and Produce Tour the day after the event. It’s a chance to see, touch and taste the best of what Kangaroo Island has to offer. Kangaroo Island has a diverse range of Agriculture, from a strongly productive Livestock and Wool industry to Seed Potatoes, Marron and Viticulture. Kangaroo Island is renowned for its seafood industry - oysters, crayfish, legendary fresh King George Whiting and snapper.

There’s a Scarecrow Competition, f as h i o n p ar a d es h i g h l i g h ti n g Australian Wool Innovation garments, Grape Stomping Challenge, local artist Neil Sheppard painting and auctioning his work, plus much more, at the Cygnet River racecourse.

Farming on Kangaroo Island has been firmly based around the family unit.

Long Tan Award for Trista

ankalilla CFS/SES member, Trista Schild, was awarded the prestigious Long Tan Award at the Yankalilla High School graduation ceremony held at the end of the 2013 school year. It was presented

by Lt Andrew Thomas RAN (originally from Myponga) along with a cheque for $550.

“We are all extremely proud of her

achievement for receiving this award” said John Edge, Yankalilla CFS Captain and SES Operation Response Manager.

The ADF Long Tan Leadership and Teamwork Awards started in 2006 to recognise students who demonstrate leadership and teamwork within both the school and the broader local community.

At the same time, they recognise those who display strong values, such as doing one’s best, respect for others and “mateship”, characteristics that are integral to Australian society.

The awards are an important initiative by the Australian Government in conjunction with the Australian Defence Force designed to encourage senior students - tomorrow’s leaders - to actively participate in the life of their schools and local communities. In 2007 some 2100 schools participated. The number of schools participating today is over 2250.

“We‟re absolutely thrilled to be this year’s Champion Milk. We’ll be giving our grass fed Jersey cows a big pat on the back, and congratulating our fantastic production team too!” said Krystyna.

Pasteurised but not homogenized, Alexandrina Pure Jersey Full Cream Milk is from a pure herd of Jersey cows. The single-source milk has a rich, velvety texture and the fantastic forgotten layer of pure cream on the top, a reminder of how some things used to be.

Every Alexandrina product starts it journey as rich, creamy milk from seventy well-loved and individually named Jersey cows. They are fed on long green clover pasture, grown on the rolling hills of the family farm, located on the Fleurieu Peninsula, South Australia.

“Winning this award helps us to celebrate the fortieth year that we have been producing jersey milk” said Krystyna whose family began dairy farming on the Mt Jagged farm in 1973.

The business also continues the legacy of the McCaul’s family who began making cheese in 1902.

Now the third generation McCaul’s is continuing the tradition of manufacturing premium quality hard style cheeses and luxury dairy products in the purpose built cheese factory at Mt Jagged, South Australia. Using their beautiful jersey milk in the manufacturing process, the family retains time-honoured cheese making methods, which hails back to more than one hundred years of tradition.

The products are stocked in retailers in Adelaide and surrounding regions in South Australia.

The Alexandrina farm shop, “The Cheesery” is open daily, where visitors can taste and buy up to a dozen dairy products from the farm factory and observe cheese being made on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

For this year’s Australian Grand Dairy Awards, more than 430 products across 19 different classes were put through their paces in a rigorous and highly technical judging process by a team of 22 expert judges. ello Readers, I hope that you enjoyed the Christmas and New Year festivities. No doubt there were a few hangovers out there but as long as you enjoyed yourselves!

If you follow the YRN facebook page you will already know that Annie Nixon no longer helps me with the production of this magazine. After 10 years of being a part of this publication we have had to call the business relationship over - reluctantly I might add - and from this issue I am solely responsible for the whole thing! I will miss Annie’s input but as they say, all good things must come to an end. Thanks for everything Annie.

The Normanville NYE Pageant was again a major success for the area, drawing thousands of spectators

and participants. It was a pity the CFS cancelled the fireworks but those who felt the need headed over to Victor Harbor to catch their fireworks display.

What else is happening? Wirrina has new owners and things are set to change for the better. Alan & Jane celebrated their 3rd birthday at Leonards Mill during December, well done! The Loop section has had a revamp. To squeeze everything in this issue I had to leave out the puzzles (sorry Brian S. - I know you look forward to the circle a word but they will be back next time).

Also, some of you may have a colour advert instead of your usual black & white - it’s just the way it worked out when I squeezed it all in - consider it a new year bonus!

he Adelaide Collectors Guild’s annual display day will be held on Sunday 9th March, 10am-3pm.

n the 12th December the Normanville Community Social Club held a picnic in Bungala Park. Patricia Schlein came and invited us to view the little cottage & speak to us about all their future plans which we all found very interesting for the future of the park. We had a most enjoyable day great food (too much as usual) followed by games with much laughter.

We will have had our next event before this is published which is our yearly visit to the Blue Berry

Patch at Mount Compass where we pick beautiful Blueberries followed by lunch at the Mount Compass Tavern this is always a great day.

Our February event is on the Monday the 3rd where we plan to join the ‘Over 50s’ for their Film evening & Fish & Chips Tea. For further events please check our Notice Board in the Normanville Mall. WIRRINA – Hotel, Conference Centre & Golf Resort – Change of Ownership

W

We are committed to work closely with the local community and have planned the following community initiatives for the first quarter of 2014; • We are hosting the Community Business Meeting in February organised by the Yankalilla Council at our Conference Centre • We aim to organise Fortnightly Games and Dinner Events for all the members of the local community at Wirrina Resort • We have planned to organise the Easter Saturday Open Day and Fair at Wirrina Resort.

At the fair, we will invite local businesses to come and sell food, drinks and offer services within our grounds and in turn we request the community to come to Wirrina experience an open day with live band and entertainment along with open house tour of our property and completed renovations. More details about the fair will be shared in the coming months • We are working closely with the community to find employees, tradesman and suppliers We understand that without the support of the local community, our goals for Wirrina Resort will become very difficult to achieve. oles! Poles! Poles! They are popping up everywhere!!!!

The Fleurieu West Business Association have just installed three more art poles as part of their Art Pole Trail. The first pole is located at Inman Valley in front of the Community Hall. This pole has an incredible array of metal birds and animals topped with an eagle. This work has been generously provided by Ian McGrath who has a studio in the Old School House at Inman Valley. Thanks Ian! The other two poles are on Main South Road diagonally across from the Visitor Information Centre. These two beautiful poles have also been graciously painted and carved by two of our favourite Yankalilla artists: Mark Pearse of Bungala House and Karen Hammat of Fine Arts Studio, Glebe Avenue, Yankalilla.

We thank them all so much for their wonderful contribution to our Art Pole Trail. Keep watching as more poles appear soon. We invite any local artist interested in donating time and expertise to decorate a pole for the trail to contact Louise on 0413 711 593.

Exciting Summer Exhibition

D

uring January six well-known Fleurieu artists are presenting their works in a special exhibition.

Gallery 88 is pleased to offer the paintings of Brian Dobson, Simon Shorrock, Murray Marks, Heather Lauterbach, Althea Holmes, and Una Bradshaw.

Brian Dobson was born in New Zealand and now lives in McLaren Vale. He has been painting for 30 years and is an accomplished water-colourist, describing his style as representational and painting directly from his subject. He is essentially a landscape/seascape artist and chooses his subjects for their emotional and visual appeal. He has been published in the Australian Artists Magazine several times and has enjoyed numerous successful one-man shows in South Australia, Queensland and New Zealand.

Simon Shorrock was born in the UK and is an electrician by trade. He is an emerging artist and has recently participated in SALA with a solo exhibition.

He is self-taught and chooses to concentrate on industrial themes within the landscape. He is the subject of an article in the local magazine, Fleurieu Living, and in this exhibition his work concentrates on Paul Klee inspired stick figures engaged in a hive of industry, and interesting interpretations of beachscapes.

Murray Marks was born in Mount Gambier, and now lives in Mount Compass. He is basically self-taught but completed a part time course at the SA School of Art in 1967-8, so has had over 40 years experience. He uses many different media for landscapes, buildings, seascapes, still-life, floral and animal studies, portraits, and theatre art. He is a long-term teacher of painting at the Henley and Grange Arts Society, exhibited in

Heather Lauterbach lives in Victor Harbor and is selftaught. Specializing mainly in pastels, for some years she instructed at the Lewitzka’s School of Art, is regularly invited to give demonstrations at local art groups, and like the other exhibitors has won many prizes for her work. Her passion is for portraiture particularly of indigenous people of Australia and Africa. In this exhibition she has concentrated more on animals.

Althea Holmes also lives in Victor Harbor, and trained at the SA School of Art, going on to teach art in high school for several years. She was accepted into the Waterhouse Natural History Art Exhibition in 2003.

She too, uses many different media including water-

colour pencil, pastel, acrylics and charcoal on canvas and paper. She now works in kindergartens as an “early childhood assistant” and devotes much of her free time to drawing, painting and craft-work such as small hand sewn Japanese inspired pieces and fabric leafy seadragons.

Una Bradshaw is a long-term Australian citizen who was born in the UK and was a resident of Normanville for many years. She now lives at the Sands Village in Seaford where she runs an art class. She developed a passion for oil-landscape painting when she attended art school in Alice Springs, but works with a variety of mediums including pastels and acrylics, winning a number of awards. She was inaugural president of Gallery 88, and held the position for a number of years.

Big Yankalilla Acoustic Music Night

I

t was a full house in full voice, with over 70 people including at least 25 musicians turning out for the last YAM night of the year in November. There were 11 acts in the packed Yankalilla Show Grounds dining hall, covering blues, folk, pop, old rock n roll, alt country, a capella and even a poetry reading. Six new musicians performed, attesting to the growing reputation of YAM as a great place to play. Outside, there was lively jamming around the campfire under a full moon.

The venue boasts great acoustics and an excellent sound system, although as the 'YAM Acoustic Rule' states, "If the power stops the music keeps going!" All instruments must be playable without electricity, ensuring the acoustic nature of the event. It's

also a great 'incubator' of new musicians, with friendly and encouraging audiences always willing to forgive a missed chord or two.

YAM is on every third Saturday night from March to November, starting around 7pm. Musicians can call ahead to book a spot or put their names on the board when they arrive.

It's gold coin donation and BYO food and drinks, with free camping for the increasing numbers of musos and friends coming from afar. Come along to the first 2014 YAM night on 15 March - it's sure to be another big one after the three month break. Pathway to Sustainability

he Resource Centre has been working on the installation of a Pathway to Sustainability for the past year. It has been an exciting project and will be launched at 10.00am on Sunday 26th January 2014 in Bungala Park as part of the Australia Day celebrations.

The pathway will consist of a wandering trail through the western end of Bungala Park visiting

four poles with striking sculptures on top of each pole depicting the four elements; earth, wind, fire and water. These sculptures have been designed by Ruth Eisner and constructed by Ian Baldock. Each pole will feature a plaque bearing a philosophical quote suitable to the element that the pole represents with the emphasis on sustainable living.

Some old fridges and freezers can cost a fortune

O

ne of our home energy assessments pinpointed a 25 year old 420 litre fridge which was keeping everything cold, but using 1112 kWh per year. This was about one-quarter of their electricity bill. The owners had no idea it was using such a lot of electricity, and costing them $360 annually on the current tariffs. It was only through an energy assessment that this high level of usage was unearthed. Soon after the audit, the fridge was replaced with a new three star one of similar size, using about 413 kWh per year. The new fridge costs about $135 a year to run, an annual saving of $225. The electricity savings will pay back the fridge in about six years. But for this household the savings were even greater, as they have solar cells, meaning more power was exported to the grid at the feed in rate of 54 cents. Their bill decreased by over $500 across the year, more than halving the payback time to just less than three years. For

he numbers of this weed have been increasing over spring and early summer on the verges of Flinders Drive, towards the ferry terminal at Cape Jervis. The plant grows to shin high, and is easily identified: the leaves have the same round, hollow, fleshy look of normal onions. However, it doesn’t produce a bulb like a ‘normal’ onion, because it isn’t really an onion. The flower stems produce star-shaped flowers (white with a stripe of reddish-brown), along the length of the stem. These are followed by berry-shaped fruit containing numerous seeds, thought to be viable for years. The plant can proliferate in disturbed agricultural land as well as on the road verges, and have a preference for drier regions. For small outbreaks remove flowering stalks and seed heads and dispose of carefully. The remainder of the plant can be dug up with its roots, and turned upside down to dry out and die. Large outbreaks are much harder to deal with, so be vigilant!

Fire on Christmas Eve

would like to thank the Myponga CFS and ETSA for their prompt service on Christmas night.

At 10pm the power went out and a noise could be heard outside our house.

A transformer on a stobie pole showering sparks started a grass fire at the corner of Blockers and Dodd Roads Myponga. A call to the CFS and they were in attendance in 20 minutes and had the fire out soon after. ETSA also arrived and we had

From a visitor to Normanville

y name is Win from Adelaide and I'm writing to you regarding my visit in Normanville and Yankalilla during this new year 2014.

I've been living in Carrickalinga area for holiday and love to shop around the surrounding areas as well.

I'm so happy to see my friend's family on your local coast line's magazine for Normanville's NYE festival dress up as pirates, so I can show them when I get back to Adelaide.

I also like your local news and events and shops information on the local issues but still feel not enough places to shop around for holiday shopping as visitors. I found out in Yankalilla area its so quiet and shops signs are

not easier to be seen by the visitors.

Also I checked most of the shops close at 4pm which made me feel so frustrated hence I wanna spend time and money by visiting every shop if possible.

Anyway I've been visiting all shops and like the country fresh made food and bread. Every time I'll buy some fresh bread and take back to share with family.

I'd suggest if any development for business running hours and more shops for visitors, that'll be more attractive in the near future just like fruit swap market but also having small Sunday market that'll be a good place and event for both local residents and their families, same for visitors as well.

he Tikker, of course, can’t predict the unpredictable. Accidents and illness can end our days without warning.

When I was a kid of seven an illness brought me within a whisker of death.

Another close call nearly left me, and my two younger brothers, buried beneath a truck load of rocks under cliffs at Rapid Bay. We ran from the falling stones with only seconds to spare.

One day, after a long drive, I came over a rise to be confronted by a heavy bull barred four wheeled drive passing a long line of cars. We both made the split second decision to leave the road and nearly collided off road. Desperately I pulled back and, despite going into a slide at high speed, managed to miss.

The psalmist said, ‘Show me, O Lord,

The big thing, however, is to live out our days in a meaningful way.

Time is a gift. Use it wisely. Will the world be better because we’ve been around?

Our planet is one of the wonders of the universe. Can we leave it better than when we found it? My late neighbor and friend would ever remind me, ‘If we muck this one up we don’t have a spare.’

We have a responsibility to others.

Many have too much and most have too little. Can we make it a bit better for those doing it hard?

The late Nelson Mandela said: ‘What counts in life is not the mere fact we have lived. It is what difference we have made to the lives of others.’

Albert Einstein said it even more bluntly, ‘Only a life lived for others is worth living.’

Christmas and the Wayward Canary

I

have previously written about and extolled the virtues of our Dog ‘Digger’ and the girls and their far from friendly existence, I hasten to add not the fault of ‘Ronnie’, ‘Gert’ or ‘Camille’, that situation has now evolved into a nervous, but tolerable existence between the four of them.

However, I had no inkling of the inner and rebellious turmoil that was brewing in the heart of our canary ‘Pavvy’ – short for Pavarotti.

One would assume and ask ‘how and why could a canary be of concern, he has been part of our household for approximately 5-6 years now and not once has he shown any animosity.

His wants and desires have been met with nothing but total acquiesce, in fact we have even introduced and, I must add gone out of our way to tempt him with special little and big treats.

When we go out, we load the cd player with a mixture of rock, light dreamy music and, even dropped in a couple of classical greats that we know he likes judging by the whistling that reaches a very high pitch to show his approval.

I have, literally and physically gone out of my way to select only the choicest, the fattest and healthiest looking thistles, and always, I repeat always ensure he gets the ones with the most flowers in which to bury his beak in.

It is a frequent ritual to also make sure his bath is full of water and judging by

the water splashing over the kitchen window he enjoys that so much he breaks into a burst of shrill whistling.

I have always considered that the canary cages did not seem big enough, as they did not have much room to spread their wings and fly around.

For an unusual present for the festive season, a cockatoo cage was provided for this avian member of our family.

Immediately, it became apparent that he loved the enlarged space to fly around in - to the extreme measures of flying in clock and anti-clockwise circuits of his cage, showing off by flying through his swinging perch at the top.

With all these pleasures and treats laid on, ‘Pavvy’ now has turned on me, why I have no idea, enough to say his attitude could be likened to the large raptorials that threaten their prey with a stance of wings partly outspread and head thrust forward with beak open.

When putting his thistle flowers into his cage, I carefully place them so that he pecks on them from his perch, however his response now is to rush over to me with my fingers in line, and emulating one of those raptorial relatives – definitely an attack position.

I have made the decision to continue in my normal routine with a little bit of wariness in not letting my fingers get in close proximity to his beak!

However, what happened to – ‘don’t bite the hand etc…… ?

farewell presentation was made on Friday November 22nd to Kay and Milton Kennewell who have moved out of the district. Kay has been our club secretary for the last five years and Milton will be missed for his maintenance skills (and his bowling).

The club are very grateful for their support over the last eight years and wish them well in their new venture.

John Clements named a Global Hero of Hope

ohn Clements who lives in Normanville has been a Rotarian for many years. He and his wife Louise have recently joined the Rotary Club of Yankalilla. We are delighted that they have decided to join us.

Last December John was named a Global Hero of Hope by Cancer Council SA. This prestigious award recognizes John’s outstanding contribution to raising funds for cancer research and also for his efforts in raising awareness of this dreadful disease.

A survivor of bowel cancer himself, John has organized and participated in many Relay For Life events. Relay For Life is an event that involves teams of 10 to 15 people who together celebrate life in a 19 hour carnival style event with live entertainment, camping out, spot prizes, free massages and much more. You don’t need to be fit to participate as your team simply needs to try to keep a baton moving around a track for the 19 hour period. The event is held overnight symbolising the fact that cancer never sleeps.

The teams also try to raise much needed funds for cancer research.

There is a Relay For Life event in Victor Harbor on the last weekend in March (29/30) To register visit www.relayforlife.com.au.

Yankalilla Ladies Probus Club

n the 27th November the Club celebrated its 23rd birthday at the Peninsula Restaurant, Lady Bay. The venue, entertainment and food were excellent.

Jillian Langford entertained us with a jazz recital accompanied by singer Wendy McPhee.

Everyone who attended, including invited members of other Probus Clubs, agreed that it was a most enjoyable and successful day. Three Probus members, Vivienne Bamford, Joan Jennings and Pam Williams received Life Membership for long time service to the Club.

On Thursday, 5th December Yvonne Scrutton, President of the Club presented an award to a Year 12 girl, Cassandra Deed Cole for leadership qualities and service to the school and community. Probus is pleased to have the opportunity to be involved in presenting these worthwhile awards.

n Tuesday 10th December, the children, staff and families of the Yankalilla Community Children’s Centre gathered at the Yankalilla Football Oval for a special evening of Carols and family celebration.

After enjoying their own picnic tea, (or tucking into a delicious sausage sizzle cooked by the Yankalilla Rotary Club!!), families enjoyed singing along to some favourite Christmas carols and songs led by centre parent Wendy McPhee and preschool teacher – Chris Taylor. Then the children of the Yankalilla Community Children’s Centre joined the stage to sing a few of their favourite Christmas songs. The musical entertainment was followed by the arrival of Father Christmas who arrived in the back of an Aussie ute bringing gifts for all of the children.

The Awards will be held on Friday 7th March 2014 with a Dinner at Navigators Restaurant, Victor Harbor Golf Club to recognise nominees and announce the Category Winners for women who have or are making an outstanding contribution or have inspired others through their achievements in their local community.

The Categories for the Fleurieu and Kangaroo Island Women’s Community Awards in 2014 are: 1. Young Female Ambassador in the Community 2. Most outstanding contribution and/or have inspired others through their achievements in Tourism on the Fleurieu or Kangaroo Island 3. Most outstanding contribution and/or have inspired others through their achievements in Health on the Fleurieu or Kangaroo Island 4. Most outstanding contribution and/or have inspired others through their achievements in Education on the Fleurieu or Kangaroo Island 5. Most outstanding contribution and/or have inspired others through their achievements in Agriculture on the Fleurieu or Kangaroo Island If an outstanding woman springs to mind in one of the above categories and most certainly deserves recognition for their outstanding efforts in the local community, we encourage you to nominate her!

Fleurieu Horse & Pony Club and Yankalilla Equestrian Club

elcome to our newest members, Chelsea Zitterbart, Anna-Mary Hansen, Jasmine LaFontaine and Mecki Roesler who have all joined the Yankalilla Equestrian Club. We also welcome Kylie Roesler as member of the Pony Club and as a support instructor for Denise Dawson, who does from time to time look forward to having a break. The members look forward to having some lessons with Kylie and gaining some new skills and knowledge. Also congratulations to Christine, Greg and big brother Lucas, on the safe arrival of Charlotte - the smallest member of our Riding Club family. Welcome to the world little one and may all your dreams and wishes in life come true.

Our Christmas rally, and final one for the year, saw a small group of riders venturing out on a trail ride to the beach and back in rain and sunshine.

Everyone had a great time and the horses were fantastic.

showjumping, dressage, mounted games, hacking, eventing and Stock Horse events. Congratulations to Tamika Francis and her horse Mr Chips for who competed in the PCASA State Champs in November at Kimba and won the title of Junior Horse and Rider for 2013 for South Australia. Tamika also competed individually in Prelim Dressage coming away with 2nd place and individually in the C Grade Showjumping placing in third.

At the Club’s Combined Competition and Encourage show held over the weekend of 24th & 25th of August, Tamika received 1st place in the Pony Club Grade 3 Combined Competition, while Imi Dunn placed 3rd in PC Grade 4 on the beautiful Murphy Street. This was Imi’s first Grade 4 event. On the Sunday, Chelsea competed at her first show and did very well on her new horse considering the atmosphere, and Jessica Young strutted her stuff in the led ring. Imi Dunn won the 85cm Showjumping class and Tegan Francis won the Encourage Pony Club High Point trophy and rug definitely was a photo opportunity with the big smiles on the faces of these two.

Of late we had a group of riders, Georgina Fisher, Tamika Francis and Natasha O’Leary who competed in their first Prix Caprilli and Derby Day, with Tamika winning the Prix Caprilli, Georgina placing third and a very happy Natasha taking out the Derby in both of her heights.

In mounted games news, earlier in the year we saw Caitlan and Amy Lloyd competing in the AMGA National Teams competition held in Albury NSW. The girls were part of the youngest team to make the A grade f i n a l s w h i c h i s a fa n t a s t i c

achievement. Another group of riders also recently competed at the MGSA Xmas event in swinging pairs, with Celina Dunn coming away with a win in the B Grade , Katrina Lloyd at the forefront taking out the A Grade and Caitlan taking out 5th place.

We are also very proud to see that an old member Ruby Mayers has started her jockey apprenticeship. With already 5 trials out of 15 completed she is well on the way to being qualified as a SA apprentice jockey.

We wish Ruby lots of success in the future and thank her father, Paul Mayers, for his dedication and support of the club over the years.

Finally a big thank you to Katrina Lloyd for her dedication, patience and time spent over the last couple of years as our President of the Club.

Katrina will not be sitting as President from December 2013 onwards and we wish her lots of time away from the computer and more time in the saddle.

Emma Vercoe will now be taking on the role as president for the club. We are always looking for new members and you are more than welcome to join even if you don’t have your own horse, but would like the social

he Rapid Bay Play Group commenced in July 2013 and is held at the Rapid Bay Primary School.

With 13 families and 17 children enrolled, the playgroup has proven to be a great success.

We say bye to Miller and Madison who will be joining the Junior Primary Class at Rapid Bay Primary School, and to Harry who is off to Yankalilla Area School. We wish them all the best as they enter the next stage of their lives.

It has been great to see a few babies coming along and enjoying the interaction with the other children, and we look forward to welcoming in 2014, another 3 babies who have recently been born in the area.
