In sports, we learn the importance of teamwork, dedication, and perseverance. But as athletes of faith, our drive doesn’t just come from the scoreboard—it comes from the words of Jesus. In Matthew 6:33, Jesus teaches:
“But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”
This verse reminds us that no matter how much we love the game, our first priority should be putting God at the center of everything we do. That means competing with integrity, respecting our teammates and coaches, and showing kindness to our opponents. Wins and losses will come and go, but living out our faith leaves a lasting impact.
When you step onto the field or court, ask yourself: Am I playing just for myself—or am I playing to honor God? By putting Him first, we discover a deeper joy in the game, one that isn’t tied to stats or trophies.
So next time you suit up, remember Matthew 6:33. Compete with passion, but also with faith—because in God’s eyes, the way you play matters far more than the final score.

U12 LIGHTNING | #6 | RIGHT WING
Dylan Jamison has spent the past seven years building a foundation of focus, teamwork, and skill — and it's all paying off. As a dynamic right winger for the U12 Lightning, this Huntington, West Virginia native is known not only for his agility and stamina on the pitch, but for his quiet confidence and leadership that sets the tone for his team.
This season, Dylan reached a personal milestone — scoring his first goal — a thrilling moment that capped off years of dedication and hard work. But what truly stands out is how he's matured into a leader, showing respect for teammates and opponents alike while embracing every learning opportunity that comes his way.
Wearing jersey #6, Dylan draws inspiration from pro soccer standout Cavan Sullivan of the Philadelphia Union and cheers for both the Union and his hometown team, Marshall University. Off the field, he enjoys immersing himself in virtual reality — a modern hobby that balances his physical discipline with creativity and fun.
For Dylan, the best part of being on a team is “learning new skills from others, and how they play the game.” His growth mindset and willingness to learn from those around him are just as valuable as any goal or assist.
When asked who his biggest role model is, Dylan’s answer is simple: “My dad.” It’s a reflection of the solid foundation that’s helped him grow into a strong player and an even stronger teammate.
With a deep love for the game and a future full of potential, Dylan Jamison is proving that leadership isn’t always loud — but it always leaves an impact.
