CITY LIFE K.I.X. KIX is a neighborhood outreach program serving communities characterized by high crime and high poverty. At KIX, at-risk children and youth receive literacy & homework assistance, health/nutrition classes, physical fitness and life skills development. What City Life Needs: Volunteers to engage in mentoring relationships, supervise homework, lead small groups, teach a special skill, lead financial literacy classes, or play sports/games with students
JUVENILE JUSTICE MINISTRIES Juvenile Justice Ministries are for youth living in residential facilities that have been abandoned, abused, and arrested. JJM partners with His House, Miami Youth Academy, AMI, and the Miami Dade Police Department by providing biweekly sessions and events to bring a message of hope to justice-involved youth. What JJM Needs: Volunteers to engage in mentoring relationships in-and-outside facilities. Volunteers willing to listen and love youth from difficult situations.
CAMPUS LIFE Campus Life is a program that combines healthy peer-to-peer relationships with creative programs to help middle & high school students make good choices, establish a solid foundation for life, and equip them to positively impact the world around them. This program meets in the areas of Miami Springs, Hialeah Gardens, Westchester, Cutler Ridge, North Miami, Homestead, and Coral Gables. What Campus Life Needs: Volunteers who can meet with students during and after school; volunteers who can listen well and mentor teens who don’t know Jesus.
CLOUD LIFE During the pandemic, many of the YFC clubs and Bible studies had to go online. We realized that this was the place that many of the youth in Miami- Dade County spend most of their time. Cloud Life was developed to effectively reach students who communicate online.
CATALYST Catalyst Hip-Hop was founded in 2001 with the mission of positively impacting at-risk youth involved in the four elements of the Hip-Hop culture: break-dancing, rapping, music, graffiti art and DJ’ing. What Catalyst Needs: Volunteers who are solid in their faith, authentic in their lifestyle, and who are willing to learn about and/or be involved in the hip-hop scene.
OFFICE MINISTRY Our office staff provide support in all areas of the ministry. They volunteer at ministry sites, make copies of Bible studies, call repairmen, assist with event planning, update insurance information, apply for grants, and complete other tasks for each outreach. What our office needs: people with all levels of office experience! Bookkeepers, envelope-stuffers, systems-minded people who can independently complete office tasks; copy editors & grant writers/advisors; anyone with HR or legal experience to consult on policy issues; anyone interested in praying for our ministries.
