Farmer “Your name” is going on holiday. He is going to the seaside.

He is packing his suitcase, but what should he bring?

His comb, his underwear and his cuddly toy.

His raincoat too of course, in case it rains.

‘My boots’, Farmer “Your name” calls out, ‘and my red parasol too!’

Oh no, Farmer “Your name”, no no no, your suitcase will burst on you!

Farmer “Your name” is going on holiday. He is going to the seaside.

He has already locked the door. Is he ready to go? Oh, not yet!

He needs to bring his swimming trunks and a snack for the road.

Luckily he remembers them, he almost forgot!

‘My spade and my bucket to build a beautiful sandcastle at the seaside.’

Oh no, Farmer “Your name”, no no no, your suitcase has no more room inside!

Farmer “Your name” is going on holiday. He is going to the seaside.

He suddenly has a great idea: ‘You know what? I’ll bring my tractor!’

He puts his suitcase, spade and parasol on top of the tractor.

‘Look’, he calls out, ‘there’s loads of space left!

Clara the cow and her sweet little calf, they should both come too.’

Oh no, Farmer “Your name”, no no no, cows on the beach surely wouldn’t do.

Farmer “Your name” is going on holiday. He is going to the seaside.

He is bringing all of the chickens and the rooster.

They can fit in the trailer. And so can all of the furniture.

Oh no, Farmer “Your name”, no no no, that is far too much to take!

‘No it’s not’, says Farmer “Your name”.

‘The furniture has worked hard, and so deserves a little break.’

Farmer “Your name” is going on holiday. He is going to the seaside.

He is bringing along two pigs and the smallest sheep.

That poor tractor can’t carry it all!

‘Well’, says Farmer “Your name”, ‘then I’ll put Stallion, our lovely horse in front.’

Now it’s really all full up! We’re off! But Farmer “Your name” calls out: ‘No! “Name friend male” and “Name friend female” must also go!’

Farmer “Your name” is going on holiday. Everyone is coming.

Here they go in a long procession to the beach.

They’re all singing: The wheels on the tractor go round and round, round and round, round and round. The wheels on the tractor go round and round, all day long.

‘I can smell the sea!’ “Name friend male” calls out, ‘the sand is almost within my reach.’

‘Not quite yet’, “Name friend female” calls out, ‘we’re still too far from the beach!’

They ride through the streets until they reach the end and then they reach the dunes with - hooray the beach just around the bend!

Clara the cow and her little calf run straight into the sea.

The pigs, chickens and rooster join them immediately.

But Farmer “Your name� has something else planned.

He builds a beautiful castle, made completely out of sand.

When Farmer “Your name” has carried at least a hundred buckets to and fro, everyone can come and see what “Your name” has built all on his own.

‘It’s been lovely’, Farmer “Your name” says. ‘And now we’re going home.

The hay needs to be brought in and the machines are waiting for us.’

They pack up all of their things and set off home.

Farmer “Your name” looks back one last time.

He says: ‘Goodbye sea!

Goodbye beach!

See you again soon!’

The holiday has come to an end and everyone’s feeling happy and content.

Oh, thinks Farmer “Your name”, I hope our farm is still there!

But when they get a little closer, they spot it in the distance.

There’s a light shining in the window, very bright.

The farm has been waiting to welcome Farmer “Your name” home all night.
