When Ruth married her husband Emmanuel at Carlowrie Castle she went for not one but two beautiful bridal looks, switching it up from a stunning form-fitting Martina Liana dress to a more vintage Eliza Jane Howell gown at night. Friend Emilou joined her for a girls’ day out at our photoshoot on location at Houstoun House.

Nina and husband Vishal married last June at Glasgow City Chambers before a traditional Indian wedding ceremony at Om Hindu Mandir the following day. Nina did her own hair and makeup (with the help of some tutorials), so it was a real treat when Kayleigh from Blushes & Bows at LMQ Hair and Beauty gave her a boho-inspired makeover, complete with tousled plait. Her mum Latta joined in the fun, going for a relaxed mother of the bride look.

Kayleigh Powell of Blushes & Bows at LMQ Hair and Beauty has 12 years of experience within the industry. She created Nina’s relaxed boho look using MAC prep and prime base before applying Laura Mercier foundation and YSL concealer. She used the MAC and Huda palettes on both Nina and her mum Latta for their bright and natural eye make-up.

Caroline set up Caroline Stewart Makeup Artistry in 2010 and she hasn’t looked back since, making brides across Scotland gorgeous for their weddings. With Ruth’s makeup we wanted to create a really glamorous, radiant look and Caroline started with a Laura Mercier illuminating primer before using Illamasqua skinbase foundation, blush, highlighter and gel liner. Tarte Cosmetics palettes were used for her eyes before Diva and Everlasting Charlotte Tilbery lipstick finished the look.

For Emilou’s bridesmaid look we wanted an old Hollywood glamour look so Caroline loosely curled her hair, pinning it back with the peach blossom haircomb from June Brides Glasgow. carolinestewartmakeupartistry.co.uk
