A NEW APPROACH

Top bridal designer Mirka Jankowska claims she was born holding a needle and thread and after creating her first bespoke evening gown at 16 she knew a career in design beckoned. With over 30 years in the bridal industry, creating gowns that are as comfortable as they are beautiful has always been at the centre of her work. And now with her new brand, With Love, Mirka, making the right ethical choices is also of paramount importance.

“The last couple of years made me look at the world differently,” Mirka tells us. “I saw nature that revived when we stopped destroying it for a while. Out of concern for our planet, I decided that my new brand needs to be made sustainably, there was no way I could justify any other way for a new product to enter the market. We have worked with manufacturers to create the most beautiful laces using recycled materials and I made a conscious choice to keep production here in Scotland.”
