Recognizing good work
Five years ago, the Girls Inc. organization received funding from the Charles & Margery Barancik Foundation to establish a mental health program meant to strengthen the social and emotional health of girls in the Sarasota community. Now the organization and its CEO are being recognized for their work. Girls Inc. CEO Angie Stringer has received a Visionary Voice Award from Saks Fifth Avenue for its work providing referrals for mental health services and helping cover financial costs. The award comes with a $10,000 grant.
