YOUR TOWN A few good men Looking for a Thursday night date? On Aug. 25, the Friendship Center is hosting its second Stir it Up! Speed Dating for singles 60 and older. Although Thursday’s event is full for single ladies, the Friendship Center still needs male suitors. The cost to attend is $20, which includes wine and appetizers, along with a dance following the speed dating. To register, contact Paige Giasson at the Friendship Center at pgiasson@friendshipcenters.org or 556-3265.

Perfect Poodles There isn’t a member at The Glenridge at Palmer Ranch who doesn’t recognize Renata Sawyer’s poodles. Alfie and Asti are eager to meet everyone they encounter, making them friends with everyone in the development. Last week, Sawyer entered her two poodles in a dog show at The Glenridge for members. For obvious reasons, they won the best coat category.
