With the potential sale of George’s Top & Body Shop to a developer planning 295 apartments, the Rosemary District continues to blossom with new development. On Tuesday, the Downtown Improvement District took a definitive step toward harnessing the projected growth in the area north of downtown — which includes the 470-unit CitySide project and 228 rentals at Sarasota Flats — with a 4-1 vote approving a task force to explore expansion into the Rosemary District.

When recently engaged couple Taylor Clegg and Chelsea Rodrigue wanted to shoot their engagement photos, they knew they wanted to go back to where it all began. The couple met freshman year while attending Cardinal Mooney Catholic High School and have been going steady since they started dating in September 2005. “The first thing I noticed and loved about him was his laugh,” Rodrigue said. They even hold the title of “Cutest Couple” for the class of 2008. They plan to tie the knot in November.
