Tutu for 2-22-22
Tuesday was a special day if you like twos. Or ballet attire. Tuesday was “Twos-day” for those who like to look at numbers that way. It was the 22nd day of the second month of 2022: 2-22-22. Music Compound founder and President Jenny Townsend couldn’t pass up the opportunity to wear a – you guessed it – tutu while attending a Cooking for Wishes fundraiser luncheon. She said she thought up her inspired “Twos-day” fashion a month ago and bought the attire on Amazon. The look definitely turned heads, starting with her husband’s — Townsend got a kick out of her partner’s face when she left for the event.

First, there was the real match. You know, the one with a ring? Then there was the second, which linked a woman with a few snapshots and a couple spotted in the midst of a wedding proposal at the Ringling’s Ca’ d’ Zan. Charlotte Waage, who was visiting from Port Charlotte with her husband earlier this month, reached out to the Observer to see if we could help find the man and woman so she could share her images with them. Mission accomplished. We heard from E. Keith Dubose of Sarasota last week, thanking us for helping put him and his fiancee together with Waage. Matchmakers, we are.
