+ Witt fathers complete makeover
Honor Animal Rescue took in 46 of the 263 dogs seized earlier this month in Venice.
Fathers at Gene Witt Elementary rolled up their sleeves for a weekend of hard work for the school, as they launched a 48-hour extreme makeover of the school’s media center. The center was transformed to include themed areas for both younger and older readers, as well as a “Harry Potter”-themed castle courtyard, complete with a floor-toceiling tree and park benches. high school diploma the following year. And now, with high school graduation just a week away, Peebles can’t contain her smile. “I’m actually doing it,” Peebles said, holding a printed copy of the article before her. The 17-year-old gradu-
