Jack O’Hara qualifies for Florida Amateur Championship
Longboat Key golfer Jack O’Hara, 15, was the second youngest person in the state to qualify for the Florida Amateur Championship, which was held June 23-26. He tied for 55th after being the youngest to reach finals during the tournament. Apparently, the sport is in the Sarasota Military Academy rising sophomore’s genes: His dad, Terry O’Hara, is director of golf at the Resort at Longboat Key Club.
