Bird Key resident remembers Ali as champion for all The recent death of Muhammad Ali brought back memories for Bird Key resident Jim Tarsy, who raised funds for Ali to build youth facilities. “Ali was a man of peace,” wrote Tarsy, who remembers seeing Ali praying. “He practiced this daily.” Tarsy still has a note that the boxing legend wrote him in 1983. It reads:
