The beauty of Longboat Key has garnered fresh acclaim in the form of an online feature by the New York-based Travel + Leisure magazine. The story, published Jan. 15, takes an in-depth look into all Longboat Key has to offer for accommodations, entertainment, natural beauty and cuisine. Writer Terry Ward shares a firsthand perspective, giving advice on how to navigate and appreciate the island. Ward is a Tampa resident who regularly visits Longboat.

Find your treasure at rummage sale Buyers will have the chance to uncover something special at the upcoming “Trash to Treasure” rummage sale. This sale, held at the Gulf Shore of Longboat Key at 3710 Gulf of Mexico Drive, helps reduce waste and allows residents to score some unique finds. Kim Fenwick and Susie Hettmansperger have been the co-chairs of the event since 2020, and they look forward to welcoming visitors. The pre-sale kicks off from 9 a.m. to noon on Feb. 15.
