These little piggies…
Longboat couple dive deep into cause. PAGE 1B
Two little pigs wearing Santa hats have been riding a sleigh in the 2900 block of Gulf of Mexico Drive since December, and if Tom Ruffino, the owner of the kitschy swine, has anything to do about it, they’ll stay. “I’ve got pink flamingos. I thought they’d fit in nicely,” he said. Ruffino found the pair in a thrift shop last holiday season and figured he’d store them once the new year got started. But then strangers started writing him letters, all decrying the restrictions on such creative decorations at their condominium homes. They asked Ruffino to keep the sleigh riding pigs on display.
