Patriotic pet Coco, a 1-year-old Maltipoo, was dressed and ready for a holiday parade July 2 in Del Webb at Lakewood Ranch. Her owners, Herman and Linda Martinez of Del Webb, said she loves to ride in parades and added that she had a great time July 2, especially since the rain cleared away and made way for a wonderful, dry event. The Del Webb Lakewood Ranch Association of Veterans and Military Supporters put together the golf cart parade.

Fun with foosball Gadsden Lee and Casey Lee (above) were ready to try out their handmade foosball arena at The Out-of-Door Academy’s Camp Banyan July 2 at the school’s Uihlein campus in Lakewood Ranch. The brothers were tasked with making a game using recyclable materials, and after seeing some examples, Gadsden Lee, who is 10, and Casey Lee, who is 8, decided on foosball. Other campers had the chance to play the boys’ game during camp as well. “I hope they like it,” Gadsden Lee said.
