CHURCH CELEBRATES ONE YEAR
Happy Gospel Church parishioners haven’t lost their smiles since the church opened Sept. 7, 2014, in East County. The facility is celebrating its one-year anniversary out east throughout the month of September by spotlighting the last year during Sunday morning services. Weekly, the church will stream videos and photos showing how the church’s appearance has changed since it was Faith Christian Church. “This is our baby, our new location,” the Rev. Bill Bailey said. “We’re continuing to grow it still. But we’ve been blessed.” SEE PAGE 10A

Double Take Just 13 months after having fraternal twins, Bonnie and Corey Keyworth now have their second set. PAM EUBANKS SENIOR EDITOR BRADENTON — Bonnie Keyworth sits
in a worn recliner, a newborn folded into a blanket in the crook of her arm, nursing a bottle. Two toddlers wriggle standing at her feet, grasping Bonnie’s knees as she takes turns spooning shell-shaped macaroni and cheese into their mouths. Bonnie just smiles as her twin sons, Michael and Malachi, now 13 months, lobby for the next bite. In a nearby crib, her other newborn sleeps. “My great-grandmother was a twin and she had somewhere around 18 kids, including two sets of twins — two boys and a boy and a girl, like me,” Bonnie says. “There haven’t been any other sets in my family until now.” Keyworth, a lifelong member of Christian Retreat’s Family SEE TWINS PAGE 8A
