Cool fundraiser in Braden Woods It was Christmas in July at Braden Wood’s Lisa Tarjanyi’s home July 17 during an annual food drive complete with a Christmas tree, a snowman and a viewing of a Christmas movie. Tarjanyi (above) wanted to put a fun twist on her annual food drive that benefits Downtown Ministries, a nonprofit serving the homeless in downtown Bradenton, so she decided to open her home to welcome people to donate food and learn about the nonprofit’s mission. The food drive collected about 100 cases of food and water. “I was very humbly elated that so many people were excited to help and these connections were being made,” Tarjanyi said.
