Drive time Meals on Wheels Plus needs drivers to deliver hot meals to homebound individuals throughout Manatee County. The end of season has left the organization short of volunteers to deliver up to 800 meals daily. For information, call 7474655 or visit mealsonwheelsplus.org.

With 126 current openings for teachers, the Manatee County School District adopted a firststrike mentality. The district’s first job fair held last year was in June, but the 2016 job fair was moved up to May 5 at the Bradenton Area Convention Center. SEE PAGE 6A
Are you a math superstar? Matthew Talbot and Carter McCaa are. The pair, representing Willis Elementary, won the Manatee County Math Superstars Competition. McNeal Elementary tied for second place with Wakeland Elementary and Gene Witt Elementary ranked fourth of 22 teams.
