After years of fighting to clean their ponds, residents of Tara Preserve received some startling news at the Community Development District’s March 22 meeting. SEE PAGE 3A
A celebrity has once again thrust the area into the spotlight, as rapper Kanye West donated $500,000 to the 2016 Dick Vitale Gala — less than a month after pop star Taylor Swift’s contribution. “I’mma let you finish,” West said in a March 28 news release. “But Kanye West is the biggest supporter of breast cancer research of all time.” In February, Swift donated $100,000 to the V Foundation for Cancer Research through the popular local event.
Observer flips switch after BT/ A+E printing error
Oops, we did it again…and again…and again… The Observer launched its new Black Tie/Arts & Entertainment section Oct. 15 and inadvertently published half the section upsidedown. We flipped when we found out, but at least no one can say we’re one-sided.
