escribing art isn’t always easy. Describing abstract pieces can be a bigger challenge. When words fail, Andrea Dasha Reich uses food. “My work is like a BLT,” she says. “It’s all about layers. Picture the sandwich — the bread is the foundation, and on top, you have the lettuce, tomato and bacon. My paintings are the same way; I start with a canvas, and then I add more and more layers. I’m continuously trying to add depth.”
