Fun-raisers hit East County schools.

Three East County schools planned extra fun for their families recently, as they strived to raise money. Braden River Elementary School’s Parent Teacher Organization held its annual fundraiser Friday, May 10, at Gold Coast Eagle Distributing. The adults-only, “Night in Havana”-themed event featured Cuban food, music, dancing and a silent auction. Braden River High School hosted the fourth annual Pirate Bowl fundraiser Friday, May 17. Attendees enjoyed socializing, a barbecue, a bounce house and games of corn hole, while watching the football team play a scrimmage game. Proceeds from the event will help pay for new team uniforms. And, Nolan Middle School’s annual Nolan Nights Saturday, May 18, on Lakewood Ranch Main Street, drew hundreds to the shopping center. Guests enjoyed live music performances, food and drink, a silent auction and other festivities.

Jim and Wendy Freeman, Bethany and Sammy Lynch and Paddi and Frank Juliano attended the Braden River Elementary PTO’s “Night in Havana” fundraiser, at Gold Coast Eagle Distributing. Kelly and Mike Polivchak have two children who attend Braden River Elementary.
