IHEAL How do you make something sound interesting and contemporary? Stick an ‘i’ in front of it, apparently. Following on from iPad, iPhone and all those other i-gizmos comes the iHeal from Homedics. It promises to speed the time it takes to mend muscle injuries by using electro-magnetic field waves to boost blood flow (or iFlow, as us trendy types will be calling it before long). We experimented on Mim after she strained her leg at the gym (that’s what she told us, anyway – we reckon she actually fell over on her way to the fridge). AUDEO PFE 132 EARPHONES Truthfully we’ve never warmed to earphones; they’re fidgety, break quickly and you’re hard pressed to get a good sound out of them. The Audeo model includes a wide range of changeable earpieces which can be fitted to the device, ensuring that the earphones always fit snugly. The sound isolation is truly impressive, too; even without playing any music, the outside world is pretty much muted.
