Bathroom upgrade

If your bath, toilet and wash-basin are going to be upgraded they will be removed and replaced with a new white suite. The information below will guide you through what is involved in fitting the new bathroom. Please note: If you refuse access to complete the work once it has been agreed and orders for materials placed, there is a risk that you will still be charged. Before work starts Your Liaison Officer will call about a week before the work is due to start and explain what you will need to do. You should do the following: • • •

Remove all toiletries and belongings from the bathroom Lift and remove your floor covering Remove toilet roll holders, mirrors, cabinets or other bathroom furnishings and accessories Pets will need to be kept out of the bathroom (or the property)

The bath, toilet and wash basin will be removed and replaced with a new white suite. If you have a second toilet in your home, this will not normally be replaced unless it is in poor condition. The new bath, toilet and wash basin will normally be fitted in the same place as the old ones. Two rows of white tiles will be fitted around the bath and one row above the wash basin to protect the walls from water splashes. To reduce or prevent condensation in your bathroom, an extractor fan will be fitted. Your ceilings and walls will be repainted.
