Student A has struggled to stay in both main stream school and behavioural school. On days when he comes to you I have no problems getting him up in the morning, he’s up and ready to leave well before time Student A has been very settled at home with no angry outbursts and loves coming to the Academy

Each time I come to pick them up the staff blow me away with their encouraging feedback about how gifted Student A is and how much you enjoy working with them. You are all so kind, hard working and enthusiastic about what you do. Your passion for music and performing arts shines through, nothing is too much

We feel this is building up their confidence and self esteem. We cannot thank you enough for the fabulous work you do

Since attending the Academy, there has been a marked improvement in Student B’s behaviour and engagement across aspects of their academic placements The transformative nature of this vocational and creative placement is to me commended. This workplace learning is akin to an apprentice in their chosen pathway Not only has Student B’s attendance improved, but they have given up time over their weekends to be part of events and develop their performance skills.

Being here makes me love going to school, even on Mondays I look forward to coming here I love all of my lessons and constantly have fun in them The Academy is helping me toward achieving my dream of being an actor, all the teachers are great, all the lessons are great! I couldn’t even think of a bad thing about this place if I was asked.

When I first joined the Academy I was nervous, I also thought I would see people that are better then me so they would bully me but instead it was so different everyone was so welcoming I fitted in straight away and got along with everyone. Some of my lessons take a bit longer to learn but I’m getting there. It’s an amazing school for you if you want to do anything that is to do with production, technology, or the arts. The only thing I can say is “would you rather be somewhere you don’t fit in or somewhere where that fits you?

My home life, when I started coming to the Academy, got a lot better. I was self harming and had really bad anger issues but since going to the Academy, music has helped me to channel my anger and make me happier
