Like so many of you since hurricanes
Harvey and Irma hit the South, as well as the
those affected. You have read reports, watched videos of rescues, and viewed photographs of the devastation. Perhaps you or someone you love has been affected and knows firsthand the experiences we watch from afar. All of us at Young Living extend our sympathy and love. Please know that our prayers are with you. The record-breaking rainfall, deadly winds, earthquakes, fatalities, and damage to homes and businesses are overwhelming; so, too, has been the response from people like you. I feel privileged to have our Young Living Foundation take care of members wherever disaster strikes. We not only want to help our members, but we look to help non-members as well. I am proud of the disaster response work we have done across the world and am deeply impressed by those who have stepped up to help with these huge efforts. If you have been on the receiving end, know that we feel honored to help wherever we can. If we have learned anything from these tragedies, it’s that these cities, towns, and communities will need help in the coming months and years. People will have to mourn, rebuild, throw away treasures, find new transportation, and navigate changes in their lives. With our work through the Foundation, we are attempting to make

Including the previously mentioned match from the Foundation, as of sending this edition of The Essential Edge to print, we’ve raised nearly $140,000 to go toward cleaning up and rebuilding. Ten percent of these donations will go toward the local Texas nonprofit Iconnect Outreach, which has experience with disaster cleanup. We are immensely grateful for donations big and small that our members have contributed!
