Welcome To Our Club
York City Ladies FC sits at the top of the Female Player Pathway as part of York City Football Club Foundation's Talent Pathway offer. A Pathway we are hugely proud and passionate about, and have been developing for nearly thirteen years.
The Foundation's Pathway starts with recreational activity for girls in our area from the age of 5, followed by our development centres from age 8 to 16, leading to our Emerging Talent Programme and Talent Academy from the ages 8-16. As an FA initiative, the ETC is part of the official FA England Talent Pathway creating future stars.
The MinsterBelles are the local Lionesses. The club entered the Womens National League in 2022/23 following promotion, and made history with a whole season of firsts - the first year in Tier 4 football; first game at the York Community Stadium; first match-day programme; first BusinessBelles female networking event and first MinsterBelles merchandise range. This was followed by further significant developments in year two with the move to the York Sport Stadium as our main playing venue.
Season 2024/25 saw the expansion of our Women's National League Reserves side in addition to our successful Development Team.
We have developed a nurturing and quality environment for our players with high standard management, a technical team, and on and off pitch support, enabling the team to compete against well established clubs at this level.
In the 2024/25 season, the First Team retained their place in the Women's National League Division 1 North and were crowned champions of the North Riding FA County Cup for the second successive season.
The legacy of the England Lionesses over recent years and the surgence of interest in the female game means there has never been a better time to get involved and support!
As a club, we have a huge emphasis on community engagement, both to help continue to grow our fanbase but also as part of the position we believe we hold in developing the interest in the female game for all ages. In particular, we recognise the role we play in inspiring young girls both as players and in various roles around the club.
We thoroughly enjoy working with local businesses and organisations, and have countless opportunities available to become a partner of York City Ladies FC to suit all budgets and intended outcomes. Whether the aim is part of the company's Corporate Social Responsibility; is for brand awareness or marketing reasons or simply to support females in sport. We are also happy to meet to discuss options and suggest a sponsorship or create a bespoke partnership, and we can guarantee that every level of support is vital to our ongoing development and future successes.
