Greetings from Yoojoo!

Once upon a time, not so very long ago, a best selling author and illustrator of TEFL books was in search of a new challenge, and a little independent greeting card company, creating paper products and keepsake gifts for book (& guitar) lovers, was born.

Hello, I’m Julie Ashworth; ex-teacher, book lover, designer/maker.

I lived abroad for many years teaching English as a Foreign Language. This led to an exciting and successful career as a writer and illustrator of English Language Teaching materials which are used worldwide. I came back to the UK in 2001 and now live and work in West Yorkshire.

In search of a new challenge when my family flew the nest, I dragged myself (kicking and screaming) into the 21st century by learning computing skills and Yoojoo Bookmark Gift Cards was born.

I believe that we are fortunate to live in an age of choice and have the benefit of enjoying literature in a variety of formats. Yoojoo cards and gifts are for the times when you want the pleasure of touching and feeling a book; the sound of the page turning; the smell of paper and print. When you want to curl up in an armchair and get lost in a good story, then slip a Yoojoo bookmark on the page to keep your place while you go get a drink to savour with the next chapter.

REDUCE & RECYCLE

The Yoojoo solution to the unbearable use of single use plastic. How it works:

When bought in packs of 6, one card is in a cello bag with a REDUCE sticker on the back requesting leaving it for display. The remaining five cards are in translucent glassine bags, with RECYCLE stickers, to take to the till.

Great as reading journals. Make a note of the books you’ve read, keep your place with the bee bookmark then return it to the meadow for safekeeping when you’re between books.

Plectrum Cards

Square cards with an electric or acoustic guitar illustration, completed with a useful plectrum gift, handmade from upcycled gift cards. When you’ve finished with the card simply remove the plectrum, recycle the card then play a tune.

- Orders can be placed via email or phone.

- Cards are sold in packs of six of the same design or in multi packs that contain one of each design in the range.

- Plectrum cards sold as singles.

- Minimum order £50.

SHIPPING

- Carriage £7.50, orders over £175 carriage paid (UK Mainland only).

- Overseas and off shore delivery costs to be confirmed prior to processing order.

- Once payment is received I will aim to dispatch your order within 10 working days.
