p o e t r j c p c s o i a s yoojin kim Project PICASSO started initially to commemorate his contribution to our world but along the way of researching about his life and works, I came to build up a character, Picassos illegitiate son who was kept hidden from the world until his success as a movie director.

The story is about Picassos secret son: freeminded, going against the grain; yet humble and disceet. He grew up to become a movie director, who changes the world of cinema with his avantgarde thinking and rule breaking works like his father that brought him all the fame and praise of the world.

But the real story he wants to capture is about his own father.

I imagined the scene in the big dark studio: Picasso is painting on his canvas while his son is capturing this moment alone in that big dark studio.

An intense moment. A very intimate moment between a father and him. This whole collection was designed for this son I built up in my mind.

Our goals can only be reached through a vehicle of a plan, in which we must fervently believe, and upon which we must vigorously act. There is no other route to success.
