Tour cost includes bus transportation and admission to the village. There will be a significant amount of walking on this tour.

This tour does not go to Mt Fuji’s 5th Station

Iyashinosato Japanese Village is located on the site of a former farming community along the western shores of Lake Saiko. Reconstructed and reopened as an open-air museum and traditional craft village, it offers visitors the opportunity to explore local culture, participate in hands-on activities, and purchase regional handicrafts. Today, the village consists of more than twenty thatched-roof houses that have been transformed into shops, restaurants, museums, and galleries.

Fuji-Yoshida Sengen Shrine stands quietly within a dense forest, set back from the road by a long, atmospheric approach lined with stone lanterns and towering cedar trees. Some of the trees are believed to be over 1,000 years old. The shrine’s main hall, dating back to 1615, is a significant historical structure.

Traditionally, this shrine served as the starting point for those embarking on the pilgrimage to climb Mt. Fuji from the north side.

Oshino Village, a picturesque settlement in the Fuji Five Lakes region, is renowned for its eight crystal-clear ponds. These spring-fed ponds are nourished by snowmelt from nearby Mt. Fuji, which filters slowly through porous lava layers over the course of more than 80 years. The resulting water is exceptionally pure and deeply revered by the local community.

The summer scene at Nagano’s Jigokudani Monkey Park is quite different from the winter months. The trees are full of green leaves that provide shade from the hot sun, and vegetation covers much of the ground. These ideal conditions draw the monkeys closer to the park, offering them places to hide, rest, and forage. Wild berries, flowers, and insects are plentiful and serve as natural food sources. Summer is also an important time for the baby monkeys born in early spring to make their debut—both to the other monkeys and to visitors. During this season, you’ll often see young monkeys playing while their mothers keep a close watch. After visiting the monkey park, we’ll stop by Shinshu Fruits Land for peach picking. Enjoy all-you-can-eat chilled peaches for 30 minutes, and take home two freshly picked peaches as a sweet souvenir.
