About Us

YMD Boon is an established, multi-disciplinary building consultancy specialising in health and safety, building surveying and architecture. Our Health and Safety team consists of Chartered professionals with over 25 years of experience, dedicated to helping local authorities, schools, and businesses enhance health and safety standards while ensuring smooth daily operations.

Our team is CMIOSH qualified and has worked both in-house and as independent health and safety consultants in a wide range of industries. Together, we provide employers’ and staff with the reassurance that they are complying with statutory health and safety requirements.

Our team have a track record in raising health and safety standards, whilst not overburdening you with paperwork and procedures. All our clients enjoy a personable and friendly service which they can rely on to highlight any deficiencies, but also recommend quick and simple solutions to ensure all relevant risks are managed suitably and sufficiently to protect employees, contractors and members of the public from harm on their sites. Our History

YMD Boon was formed by the merger of John Boon and Partners and YMD Architecture. The merger brought together over 50 years of experience under one roof, delivering a multi-disciplinary service to our clients. We boast a team of 55 award-winning professionals.

We bring a depth of knowledge and experience to clients through our in-house health and safety, clerk of works, planned and reactive maintenance, surveying and architectural teams. This allows us to address all facets of health and safety, funding, strategic masterplans, design, cost control, specifications, technical procurement, contract preparation and administration and then project delivery meeting or exceeding the client’s and other stakeholder’s expectations.

Statutory Framework

The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Statutory Framework requires all early years providers in England to have at least one staff member on-site at all times with a valid and complete paediatric first aid certificate whenever children are present. Providers should also consider factors such as the number of children, staff, and the layout of the premises, adjusting their paediatric first aid provisions as needed to ensure adequate coverage.
