A PLACE TO GROW KIDS DAY OUT Take an afternoon for yourself while your kids enjoy time at the Y! Kids will experience themed activities, crafts and games, create fun and delicious snacks and enjoy playtime in Child Watch or Adventure Zone with trained staff and volunteers. Kids should eat lunch before coming. A healthy snack will be provided.

FAMILY PROGRAMS HOMESCHOOL ZONE Take a break and let us provide enrichment activities and physical education for your homeschooler. Participants will get an hour of pool time and an hour of gym time. Pool time offers a combination of swim lessons and free play. In the gym students are instructed in physical education; learning conditioning drills and playing games.

COOKING CLUB Come join us for 7 weeks of fun as we learn our way around the kitchen! Students will learn how to prepare a variety of different meals including dinners, lunches, snacks and desserts. We will learn the basics of food and appliance safety and how to whip up tasty, healthy foods!

Come join us for Film Club as we produce our very own TV Show! Students will learn the basics of acting, filming, and producing their own show, along with developing fun, intelligent, and original content.

SIGN LANGUAGE

American sign language is the language that employs signs made with the hands and other movements, including facial expressions and postures of the body, primarily by people who are deaf. In this beginning sign language class kids will be exploring greetings, small phrases and basic vocabulary of ASL from and experienced instructor.

MUK ISLAND Muk Island is our floating obstacle course! Can you make it all the way across and down the slide without falling off? Children under 12 must pass a swim test.

FAMILY SWIM During family swim, the pool is reserved just for families with parents in the pool with their children.

YOUTH FACILITY GUIDELINES  Youth under age 7 must be supervised by an adult at all times.

 Youth ages 7-11 (if in 5th grade) must be accompanied by a supervising individual who remains in the building. The supervising adult does not have to be in the same area as the youth. Must be 8 years old to be in the cardio/weight rooms, and be supervised by an adult.  Grades 6 and up are not required to be accompanied by a supervising individual but are subject to age restrictions for specific areas.  Ages 14 and older are considered adults only for the purpose of use of the facilities and programs.  No food or drink other than water is permitted in the pool, workout and gym areas.  No speakers, headphones must be used at all times when listening to music.  No Smoking or Vaping: in keeping with the Y’s health and wellness advocacy; smoking is not permitted on Y’s facility or grounds. All YMCA’s of Snohomish County are smoke-free environments.  Use of electronic devices in not permitted - at any time - in Y locker rooms or youth program areas. Please set phones to silent while working out as a courtesy to other members.

“THE MUK” SKATE PARK FEATURING INDOOR AND OUTDOOR FACILITIES! The YMCA proudly provides the only staffed skate facilities in Snohomish County, 352 days every year! With one of the largest outdoor Skate Park’s in the state, and a 28 ft. wide indoor mini ramp, “THE MUK” has something to offer everyone all year long. Skateboards and Scooters are allowed daily. BMX Bikes are allowed on Sundays from 3-5 pm.

Note: Helmet required for all participants; knee and elbow pads recommended. The ‘Muk” has a small number of helmets & pads are available to loan but availability is not guaranteed.

OUTDOOR SKATE PARK HOURS (WEATHER DEPENDING): Monday - Friday 2-9 pm * Saturday 1-6 pm Sunday 1-3 pm Skate; 3-5 pm Bike Night On Early Dismissal Days and Non-School Days (Mukilteo School District), the Skate Park will be open from noon-9 pm.

Skate Park is not covered and will be closed in event of wet or rainy weather.

SCOOTER & SKATE LESSONS Start with the basics or push to the next level! Our skate instructors will guide groups of 2-5 children through desired maneuvers safely, while also ensuring knowledge of park etiquette, terminology, and gear maintenance.

At the Y we believe every child has potential, and we’re here to nurture that potential. From youth sports to academic support to leadership development, the Y helps bring out the best in kids, and they keep surprising us with all they can do.

ENGAGE.LEARN.SHINE The Mukilteo Family YMCA provides licensed School-Age Care before and after school for ages 5-12 (children must be currently attending kindergarten or elementary school). Program curriculum includes extended learning opportunities such as homework support, literacy development, games, sports, arts/crafts, cooking, drama, service learning, and science activities. DSHS subsidy accepted.

This plan is paid in equal payments each month for twelve months and includes care 5 days each week for all school days; full day care on select holidays, Conference Days, and regularly scheduled non-school days; after school during Learning Improvement Time on Fridays and Early Dismissal days. The Year Round Plan includes full time care during the summer in our Licensed Summer Discovery Camp. This plan includes two weeks of vacation at 100% discounted rate after 4 months of attendance. There is a $50 Registration fee per family.

H2O DESCRIPTIONS OPEN SWIM Facility Members of all ages are welcome to use the pool during select times every day during Open Swim.

FAMILY SWIM During Family Swim, the pool is reserved just for families with parents in the pool with their children.

ADULT LAP Reserved for adults only. Swimmers must be 18 years or older to participate.

WATER FITNESS Participants must be at least 14 years old unless pre-approved by instructor. Designed for all levels of fitness, classes include a warm-up, cardiovascular set, toning and stretching exercises.

AQUA ZUMBA® Jump into the La n‐inspired, easy‐to‐follow, calorie burning, dance fitness party that makes working out a splash!

LAP SWIM GUIDELINES Lap swim is recommended for members 14 years of age and older.

Adults have priority. Walkers and exercisers may use the pool during lap swim but only in designated lanes or areas. Water walkers are welcome.

WRISTBAND POLICY Children under the age of 12 who do not pass a height test of 42 inches at the armpits are subject to a swim test. Children under the age of 12 must wear a wristband indicating their swimming ability. Children that do not pass a swim test must have an adult in the water with them.

MASTERS SWIM

Ages18 and over Drowning can happen nearly anywhere with standing water. But, Come try out Masters Swim during one of our in-house stroke as a parent or caregiver, you can’t keep your kids sidelined. You clinics every fourth Thursday! LIVESTRONG AT THE YMCA LIVESTRONG at the YMCA is small-group program developed and established in partnership with the LIVESTRONG Foundation, to assist those who are living with, through or beyond cancer to strengthen their spirit, mind and body. ACT! (ACTIVELY CHANGING TOGETHER) ACT! is a nutrition, activity, and self-improvement program for youth ages 8-11 and teens ages 12-14 and their parents. This is a community-based program for youth who are overweight or at risk of becoming overweight. A YMCA Health & Well-Being Team teaches fun ways to be active, eat well, and create healthy lifestyles for the whole family. CYCLE HEART RATE In heart rate training, the challenge is to keep your heart rate within a certain number of beats during any certain period of time or terrain. Whether you use a heart rate monitor or not, this is a great cycle class that ensures you will get a great workout.

CYCLE TOGETHER Cycle Together is a huge calorie burner. It's a 60-minute cycling experience brought indoors.

PILATES/MATT Improve strength and flexibility through exercises that enhance your posture and core strength using body weight, balls and bands. Exercises are conducted from the floor.

The Casino Road Community Center is free to any youth (grades K-12, ages 5-18) and NO YMCA membership is needed. We offer a safe and fun environment for local youth and teens after school.

MY ACHIEVERS PROGRAM The My Achievers Program (MAP) was developed as an effort to eliminate the achievement gap for students who face daily challenges due to racial/ethnic barriers, immigration status, and socio-economic factors.

MAP is unique among the Y’s program offerings in that academic success and college readiness are the main focus for the program.

MAP is offered after school for middle school and high school students.

They meet twice a week during the school year, and have additional field trips and college tours on Fridays.

GED PREPARATORY CLASS IN SPANISH The YMCA offers preparatory GED classes for individuals who did not complete the high school requirement for high school gradua on but would like to earn their high school equivalency.

These workshops will cover wri ng, social studies, and science help students prepare taking the comprehensive GED. You’ll learn what steps you’ll need to take and pass a complete GED. Tutoring is provided & free child care (ages one year and up) is provided.

ENGLISH FOR SPEAKERS OF OTHER LANGUAGES (ESOL) The YMCA is partnering with the Seattle Goodwill and Edmonds Community College to offer eight weeks of English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). Free child care (ages one year and up) is provided. Although there is no cost to attend, there are a few requirements, including regular attendance.

SEATTLE GOODWILL The Goodwill class will build confidence in everyday situations, improve consumer skills, and prepare students for employment or educational programs.
