We believe that creating Centres of Community for Families is the foundation for a thriving community. We are committed to providing support and services that focus on a nurturing and inclusive environment where families can connect, learn and grow.
By 2027 we will:
• Open 4 new Child Care centres
• Connect families to outdoor education with the expansion of the Glenn Carpenter Centre
• Create a Newcomer Hub
We believe in Creating Positive Health Outcomes for our community through a proactive approach that focuses on more than just physical activity and a healthy diet. We are committed to developing programs and opportunities for community members to achieve their health goals and prevent chronic disease.
By 2027 we will:• Research, develop and execute programs for chronic disease management and prevention
• Develop recreational programming for older adults so they can be healthy and connected
• Create outdoor programming and activities for our members
We believe that supporting our people and regional workforce is crucial to foster economic growth, social stability, and community development. We are committed to the development, well-being, and empowerment of individuals within our region.
By 2027 we will:
• Focus on retention and development in our organization
• Evaluate and execute fair compensation and benefits
• Create an environment that celebrates work/life balance
• Expand regional workforce
• Provide school based training and accrediation
We believe that strong and healthy communities need a strong and healthy YMCA. We are committed to supporting all members of our community get access to programs and services that create impact and ignite potential.
By 2027, we will:
• Re-Imagine our membership model
• Support 5,400 Participants through Strong Communities funding
• Ensure all programs have a sustainability lens
• Have a continuous improvement culture
• We will sustainably provide high quailty programs.
• We will provide opportunity to enhance wellness.
• We will provide opportunities for personal growth.
• We will facilitate community development and connection.
• We will provide welcoming spaces for everyone.
