YMCA - It's Where Kids Belong

The Y is a place where kids feel like they belong.

The YMCA of Greater Halifax/Dartmouth

That matters because, when they feel connected and accepted, kids become stronger and healthier. And they can grow up with the tools needed to succeed.

“The thing that I like the most is that they have this huge gym, and a bunch of supplies. At the Y, I usually hang out with my friends, play games, and do gymnastics, and things like that.

It’s really fun.”

“I draw or play board games.

My favorite is playing on the monkey bars.

I do some yoga or do gymnastics.

It makes me feel better because I’m slouched down in my chair all day when I’m in school.”

“I go play at the Y. We do running, eating, and snack time. We keep Lego in our cubbies for a few days and then we wreck them!�

“At the Y we play Lego! We like playing Lego. We build it up and do it over again.

We also play tag.�
