Visual Concept Max Factor guides people toward radiant confidence and full potential at all stages of life.

Max Factor will go beyond creating cosmetics products, and extend its radiant confidence at different stages of life. The new logo of Max Factor may appear with a background and without a background. It should be reversed when placing on a solid color background in order to make the logo easier to see. Choose a color that will create enough contrast in the background with different components of the signature.

Logotype The logotype is taking the similar shapes as the iconic logo. It is based in the typeface Eloquent JF Pro which has high contrast between strokes.

Clear Space Clear space is the area surrounding the signature that must be kept free of other graphic elements. The minimum required clear space is defined by the measurement ‘x’ as shown below. The dimension of the clear space is equal to the height of the logotype.

Typography Mrs Eaves is used for bodycopy, subhead and call outs.

Mrs Eaves is a Transitional serif typeface designed by Zuzana Licko and published in 1996 through Emigre. The design was inspired by Baskerville and named after John Baskerville’s wife, Sarah Eaves. The low x-height, wide proportions and generous spacing make it a distinctive face that stands out amongst other serifs. Mrs Eaves is used for the bodycopy, subhead and call outs for Max Factor because this serif typeface is sophisticated and classic, which match the feeling of the brand.

Typography Mr Eaves Sans is used for heading, caption and small type.

Mr Eaves Sans is a humanist sans-serif typeface designed by Zuzana Licko and published through Emigre in 2009. It was created alongside its close brother, Mr Eaves Modern, to be a sans-serif companion to the popular serif Mrs Eaves. While Mr Eaves Modern strays into more geometric sans territory, Mr Eaves Sans falls more in line with the original humanist design of Mrs Eaves. Max Factor uses Mr Eaves Sans for heading, caption and small type. Using the sans-serif typeface from its same family that can create contrast but also make all the type look harmonious together.
