Problem Statement This is a parametric lamp with a dimension of 8*8*10 inches. The light is driven by the WiFi LED Bulb, which allows the remote control of on/off of the light, different light intensity and color mode of the light.

Work Flow -

1 - Generating the parametric pattern

2 - Cut and assemble parts

Generate boudary surface for further extrusion.

Perforated Pattern on panels Extrusion of the boundary surface generated by the grasshopper definition, and apply the volume to the existing panels, doing BooleanDifference in Rhino to get the final side panels and the top panel with the perforated pattern.

panels are cut by the router, and the bottom panel is cut by the laser cut machine. Perforated pattern is applied to all directions of the lamp except bottom to generate the best lighting effect.

Hide the joints & Maximize the lighting effect

Choice One of Spray Method:

1. Assemble and glue the parts together. (except the bottom panel)

2. Appy the white spray paint both inside and outside the lamp after the glue is dry.

3. Fasten the bottom panel and the light bulb when the white spray is dry.
