In the contemporary context, where communities is facing challenges like social inequality, economic instability, and climate change, there is a growing imperative to prioritize resilience in architectural design. The approach of Community-Centric Resilience, which places human at the core of the design process, has the potential to significantly augment social cohesion and community engagement.

.04 PRACTICE EXPERIENCE

CDM Regulations These notes identify those hazards which the designer deems to be significant, unusual, not likely to be obvious to a competent Contractor and/or difficult to manage. If any such hazards are identified and not listed below then they should be brought to the attention of the Architect. HAZARD

Throughout my four years of undergraduate study at the University of Bath, I delved deeply into an extensive exploration of technical and construction knowledge within the realm of architecture, fostering a profound understanding. I came to recognize that exceptional architectural design surpasses the mere act of construction; it involves a deliberate consideration of how users engage with the space. This realization has significantly shaped my approach to design, emphasizing the vital interplay between form and user participation.

In acknowledging that architecture transcends conventional perceptions of enclosed spaces defined by walls, columns, and floors, I have come to appreciate its broader essence. Beyond the assembly of materials, care emerges as the foundational principle at its core. Architecture, to me, serves as a powerful instrument, establishing a symbiotic relationship between individuals and their environment. It acts as a conduit, enhancing the understanding and interaction between people and place.

This holistic perspective has not only influenced my design philosophy but has also ingrained in me the belief that buildings are invaluable tools. They facilitate a deeper exploration and comprehension of the intricate social dimensions of the human experience. This integration of technical knowledge, human-centric design principles, and a broader appreciation for the role of architecture has become the cornerstone of my professional perspective.

The RIBA Plan of Work organises the process of briefing, designing, delivering, maintaining, operating and using a building into eight stages. It is a framework for all disciplines on construction projects and should be used solely as guidance for the preparation of detailed professional services and building contracts.
