La Model, 1904. The Barcelona prison is inaugurated in what was still the outskirts of the Eixample. For 119 years, a wall the size of two islands has kept this impenetrable enclosure separate from the urban plot that has consolidated around it.
This project aims to find a friendly way to establish one intense bond between the old prison and the city, based on the complete permeabilization of its perimeter and the opening of its interior spaces.
