The swift advancement of human society has undeniably reshaped the earth's surface ecological environment. Whether good or bad, this change is happening all the time and affects all living things, including humans. A multitude of species have either disappeared or are teetering on the brink of extinction, while natural disasters occur with increasing frequency. Yet, the human consciousness of the intricate interplay between species and nature remains quite limited.

This project is located in the front square of the National Museum of History and Nature in Paris, France. It holds close proximity to both the Tianyan Museum and the Paris Botanical Garden, exuding a profound ambiance steeped in natural history. Under global warming, France is facing with seversdrought crisis and a pronounced shortage of groundwater.

Our approach to this project involves a conceptual exploration of the Anthropocene, which we’ve divided the concept of the Anthropocene into three conceptual stages: past, present and future These concepts are seamlessly integrated into the site design, showcasing three evocative scenes: the dawn of nature, the ravages of natural destruction, and the vision of future nature. Through ingenious features like the circular still pool and the encompassing landscape wall at the site's core, we aim to stimulate contemplation and recollection among humanity about vanishing species.

At the same time, the site strategically occupies a central position within Paris's underground water infrastructure. Leveraging innovative water conservation mechanisms, it oversees the collection, storage, and distribution of water to the entire subterranean network of the city.

As people entering the square, visitors can observe the operation of Paris' underground water system, interacting with water features along the surface runoff,. they can also relax in the rain garden while viewing the museum's outdoor exhibition, admiring the imprints left by the extinc species on the landscape wall, and gaze upon the reflection pool. This experience renews the connection between humanity and nature.

Every year, over 50 million migratory birds follow the East AsiaAustralasia Flyway (EAAF) from Siberia in search of food and habitats. However, with the rapid progression of urbanization, the habitats and feeding areas of these birds are under threat, leading to a significant decline in bird populations.

In order to protect these invaluable ecological resources, we plan to establish a wetland conservation area through the Futian Mangrove Ecological Reserve, allowing waterbirds to return to their former habitats.

This is a museum designed specifically for the mangrove wetlands, with its exterior resembling the characteristics of mangrove branches.

Its purpose is to raise awareness of nature and ecological balance and to provide an educational and protective platform for migratory birds.

The museum's design features curved and streamlined elements, emulating the structure of mangrove branches, making the building seamlessly blend with nature and harmonize with its surroundings. From a distance, it appears as a vast bird's nest.

Simultaneously, the core structure inside imitates a bird-friendly, biomimetic mangrove environment, while the outer steel framework mimics the branches where birds regularly rest, creating an environment for human-bird interaction and natural coexistence.

With China's urbanization process rapidly advancing, the traditional urban-rural relationship is being overturned, posing new challenges to social equity. Recent surveys indicate a growing number of freight railways in China are being abandoned annually, which were once vital logistics links connecting urban and rural regions.

The current railway is surrounded by scattered abandoned farmland, unused warehouses, struggling markets, and lowincome old residential areas, marking a bleak and feeble line within the city.

This project aims to address these challenges by studying production, storage, and distribution systems and capitalizing on the opportunities provided by abandoned railways. Our goal is to establish connections between rural and urban areas along the railway line. This initiative seeks to create a more equitable, lively, and secure urban lifeline.

Sr i Lanka Our focus is on the abandoned section of the Ningwu Railway Mal di ves in Nanjing, linking the deserted rural areas in Yuhuatai District to the historic urban area of Qinhuai. The project meticulously examines six prototype areas along the route: abandoned farmland, existing warehouses, wholesale markets, urban agricultural land, old city cultural parks, and deteriorating commercial complexes. Building upon this analysis, we have developed three distinct design concepts tailored to different time frames: Long-term perspective, emergency scenarios, and current circumstances.

A Public Vision That Is Still In Forethought The severe food stock crisis in urban areas has raised awareness of the need to stockpile food and vegetables.

Experts believe that this experience should be used as a warning to develop urban agriculture and build food emergency lines that can be self-sufficient in the short term.

Each year, extensive agricultural land disappears, causing people's cherished memories of idyllic landscapes and childhood ecological wonders to fade away. Abandoned fields, contaminated water systems, and elderly individuals feeling disconnected are slowly being erased from urban consciousness.

This project is situated on Jiangxinzhou, located in the Yangtze River Basin in Nanjing. It links the prosperous Hexi area and the Eco-Green Expo Park.

Despite its ample farmland and water ponds, the island's residents have lost touch with the ecological diversity they once enjoyed. Through extensive research on ecological restoration strategies and the island's original species data, and by incorporating urban rewilding theory, dragonf l ies have been selected as the ecological indicator species.

This choice serves a dual purpose: to monitor the island's ecological balance and to reconnect residents with their past environment. By reintroducing dragonflies, the project aims to revive the island's ecological vitality. The initiative not only monitors the island's ecosystem but also reintroduces the enchanting sight of dragonflies soaring over childhood fields, rekindling the islanders' and tourists' nostalgic memories.

Furthermore, the project leverages the vitality of organisms and waterfront areas to restore the water system's ecology. The garden in front of Nanjing Agricultural University's teaching building is designed to celebrate with bamboo decorations, 3D-printed replicas of the school's buildings, and local plants suited for the climate and soil.The project includes regular watering and maintenance, all within an 8,000 RMB budget.
