From the first cohort back in 2010, much has changed in the NHS.
We’ve reviewed what the Accelerate programme has achieved and what options we have for the future of the programme.
Does Accelerate remain relevant, proportionate and effective? Is it possible for organisations and teams to invest in the same way they have done over past years? How do the aims of Accelerate fit in the wider priorities of professional development at a national, regional and local level?
Our review involved volunteers who completed the Accelerate programme over the last five years. We hope that their journeys will illustrate how the programme helped participants to develop their personal leadership skills and put them to use in the wider organisation.
