WHERE THE JOBS ARE HIDING: UNCOVERING THE REALITY OF THE HIDDEN JOB MARKET

FREE ONLINE ONLY

Most roles are filled through internal candidates, referrals, or word-of-mouth well before they appear on a job board. This isn’t a trend, it’s a long-standing reality of how hiring happens. In fact, across Canada and other global labour markets, research shows that 65% to 80% of jobs are never posted publicly. If you are wondering why, employers often rely on trusted networks to find candidates efficiently and discreetly, making quicker hires, saving time, resources and money.

The key to accessing this hidden market requires an important and proactive approach that will enable you to leverage your personal and professional networks effectively no matter what stage your job or career search is at. This 90-minute session is designed to help job seekers move beyond the limitations of online job postings and into the networks where real opportunities are. You’ll learn how to build a personalized networking strategy, expand your reach through authentic connections, conduct effective informational interviews, and access insider knowledge that can lead to unadvertised roles. Whether you’re just starting out, shifting paths, or seeking advancement, this session will give you the tools to tap into the real hiring channels employers trust.
