Hello, my name is Yeshey Samdrup and i am an architectural student and currently progressing into my 3rd year of studies.
I am a Motivated and detail-oriented person with dual diplomas in Building and Interior Design and hands-on proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Suites.

Currently i am working as a junior building designer in Chant House Building Ltd. I specialize in creating floor plans in CAD, initiating with clients to ideate designs and do site visits and measure ups alongside my lead designer.

WSSTRENGTHS - as a creatively driven person i am constantly motivate and always learning. I am a fast learner and can adapt easily with different situations and circumstances. I have a keen sense for detail an am very organized, keeping calendars and tracking every tasks that comes up in my daily life. My technical abilities, my diverse work experience in customer-facing roles has honed my communication, teamwork, and time management skills. WEAKNESS - i am a perfectionist in many ways which is a major weakness for me. In my field of study, a lot of creative an open thinking is needed in which i succeed but i tend to get stuck on the tinniest details which is a negative attribute as overthinking is a major problem. This issue leads to major procrastinating and as a result leads to a quality of work which is significantly worse.
OOPPORTUNITIES - my strengths overall make me an effective designer as i have the opportunities to learn quick, apply the design thinking skills, stay organized with client deadlines, and opportunities as a future architect to communicate my ideas visually an verbally coming from a very customer service oriented field.
TTHREATS - some threats include my confidence s of right now, is very high in which i could get over confident in the future. I could get comfortable and stop putting much needed effort into my craft. This would be a significant threat to my career and my goals. To address this threat, i need to stay humble and always curious to learn. I will need to remind myself constantly that no matter hat, i m always learning and always getting better in every aspects of life.
Currently working part time as a junior building designer whilst studying bachelors of architecture full time.
CAREER PLAN IN 5 YEARS
In one year, i want to transition into full time of working and on finishing my degree. In the one year i want to o as best as possible to do my best in my academics so i can work on getting a scholarship for my masters.
By the third year after finishing my degree, i want to peruse my masters in architecture while doing full time work and gaining as much experience as possible. In the next two years i also will travel a lot to learn as much as i can and explore the world.
By this time i want to be fully established in an architectural job as i prepare to open my own firm. I will finish my masters and get my license. I will continue to work for two years as i prepare myself to start my own business venture.

By the fifth year, i wanna open my on architectural firm that will be based in residential and commercial design. I will implement every single skills that i learned during the 5 years of my time to start this firm.
This portion of my life will consist of mainly working to gain as much experience an possible while learning as much as i can from mentors and teachers. I wanna venture into tutoring people in my field to learn and teach to help others.
