3 MONEY It’s essential that you budget correctly from the start. If you have a price in mind talk to Yearbook Machine and we can tailor a quote to your needs. Ask your school to help as well. They tend to be helpful when it comes to coordinating billing. Sometimes schools are even able to subsidise the book.
4 CONTENT If possible, try to plan out which pages you want in your book in advance: this will help you by letting you tick the items off the list as you make them. When you’ve finished online, make sure you double-check for spelling mistakes or errors. You should also show a teacher, in case the book includes any inappropriate content and to get your school’s approval. Remember that your school holds the rights to its name and crest and if you’re using any of the two you need their permission to print!
5 PHOTOGRAPHY Having the help of somebody who’s good with a camera will make a difference if you want to include lots of large images in your yearbook. If you want everybody’s profile photos to look consistent (e.g. with a plain background) then you will need to arrange for those photos to be taken. Similarly, if you want a photo of your whole year group then remember to arrange it.
