James Baillieu signs with Askonas Holt We are thrilled to announce that pianist James Baillieu has moved onto management with Askonas Holt. James recently performed a Mozart concerto with the English Chamber Orchestra at Royal Festival Hall and frequently records for BBC Radio 3.
Multiple Successes for Clarinetist and Composer Mark Simpson Upon his return from Banff in Canada, where he spent time composing, the Borletti-Buitoni Trust awarded Mark Simpson a Fellowship toward his work as an outstanding young composer and performer. His new work ‘Geysir’ was premiered earlier this month by Britten Sinfonia.
Michael Petrov to Perform Walton Cello Concerto in June On 22 June, cellist Michael Petrov takes centre stage to perform Walton’s Cello Concerto with the Barbican Young Orchestra, and Ed Gardner conducting. Michael will also compete for the Guildhall School’s Gold Medal in May.

The Heath Quartet, violinist Bartosz Woroch, and cellist Philip Higham have each been invited to perform recitals in the intimate setting of the Phillips Collection. Opened in 1921, the Phillips Collection in Washington D.C. is ‘America’s First Museum of Modern Art’, and is home to works by Rothko, Renoir, Bonnard, and O’Keeffe, among other great artists. In addition to his recital, the Heath Quartet will also perform in New York City for their Carnegie Hall debut in the Weill Recital Hall.
