Grovernor Praised Yayasan Sabah Group's Subsidiary in PNG

The opening of the new classrooms and teachers' houses in Makapa Village by the Governor of Western Province Dr. Bob Danaya on 24 August, 2005 marked the departure point towards fulfilling Innovision PNG Ltd's (IPNG) social commitment to the Papua New Guinea Government, in particular the Makapa community. IPNG is a subsidiary company of Yayasan Sabah.

The Makapa Village, about two hours by light plane from Port Moresby, is situated inside the IPNG's concession area of about 300,000 hectares. It has a population of more than a 1000 people. The Governor thanked and praised Yayasan Sabah and its subsidiary company IPNG Ltd for living up to their social commitment in providing the Makapa Village with new four double classrooms and teachers' houses in addition to the 16 double classrooms, eight teachers' houses and four aid posts that were built earlier.
