An Overview of ARCO’S System
Design Possibilities
It is a multi-component system offering limitless Design and Structural solutions, outstanding Thermal resistance and Acoustic performance.
Provides high load-bearing structural solutions with excellent resistance to wind uplift. Despite of light weight, standing seam provides increased wind resistance when compared to other roofing materials.
It can be customized to any insulation specification requirements, and accordingly can accommodate a variety of insulation products and deliver very low U-Values with no effect on roof service life. It is possible to achieve levels as low as 0.1 W/m2K and even lower for certain specific projects.
Energy efficient, durable and often have low maintenance requirements. Toxic free, and made from 100 of recyclable materials and renewable and sustainable sources.
Various methods for Improving reaction to sounds are available. An engineered combination of perforated metal roof deck profiles and acoustic insulation forms a structural barrier, can drastically reduce sound reverberation, and provide excellent acoustic ability.
The system has been proven to deliver weather tight performance for around 40 years. It ensures strength and watertight integrity due to its double interlocking side joints, and concealed clips. The system is also impervious to Air leakage. For marine areas such as seaside towns which have to deal with salt water corrosion and high winds, we would generally use Aluminium, Copper or a specially coated steel.

Aspects Of ARCO'S Roofing System
Lifespan
Corrugated metal roofs are installed with fasteners that are exposed to the elements. The screws will eventually back out and the holes in the panels will enlarge and they will leak. All corrugated metal roofs need to have their fasteners inspected and tightened at least once a year. ARCO standing seam metal roofs do not require this type of routine maintenance thanks to their concealed fasteners.
Wind Resistance
The exposed fasteners of the corrugated panels must be tightened regularly so the wind can't work the panels loose. Especially in areas with high winds, the fasteners should be regularly inspected and tightened. ARCO’s Standing seam roofs are not affected by high winds. The side joints of the panels are locked and zipped tightly together without exposed fasteners.
In the conventional roofing system, the short length of panels and the necessity for end-lap connection details, the exposed fasteners and the reaction to the floating of the metal sheet, result in an inability to maintain the system's air and water tightness integrity. With ARCO's standing seam metal roofs, you can be sure of 100% weather resistance.
03
Air and Water Tightness 01 02
04
Appearance and Finishing
Exposed fastened panels use a screw or nail to secure the metal roofing to the purlins. This can involve hundreds and even thousands of fasteners, which must be spaced and driven to maintain the integrity of their rubber washer which serve to prevent precipitation from gaining access through each hole.
Conversely, with ARCO's system where the fasteners are driven through the clips into the roof deck with no connection or piercing of the metal panels. The clip and fasteners are concealed beneath the standing seam panel material. The panel is then laid over and attached to the clips and then mechanically locked.
05
Float Action
Metal expands and contracts with temperature change, with exposed fastener roofs, screws driven too tight leave no room for expansion and contraction.
In contrast, with ARCO's system is driven through the clip and not the panel itself and is designed to flex or move under the panel. And of course, the concealed fasteners are never exposed to the weather and are insulated from the movement.
06
Cost impact
Exposed fastener metal roofing panels are a less expensive alternative to standing seam roofs. However, additional maintenance expenses and the possibility of roof replacement should be considered. It is definitely not an "install it and forget it" type of roofs.
ARCO's Standing seam metal roof will last significantly longer than corrugated metal roofs. It Is the ideal system for low slope roof, which require less structural materials and reduce material costs. It's a smart investment in your Building.
07
Design Potential
Design of conventional roofing systems is very limited comparing to the ARCO's Standing seam system, which allows for unlimited design flexibility to accomodate the market trends in that sector.

Fire Performance
In the wake of recent high-profile fires, it has become increasingly critical to select the appropriate cladding system for a building. Aegis Panels with Rockwool insulation achieve high levels of reaction to fire performance in tests specified for regulatory purposes and tests developed by the insurance industry.
AEGIS PANEL SYSTEMS ARE IN COMPLIANCE WITH ASTM E108 CLASS A AND FM 4471 CLASS 1.
Weather Protection & Durability
The system boasts an airtight design with hidden clips. Aegis profiles have been designed to deliver weathertight performance for about 20 years, its double interlocking side joints and concealed clips make the system stronger and more Weathertight. In marine environments such as seaside project that deal with salt water corrosion and high winds - Aluminum, Copper, or specially coated steel are usually the best materials.
Due to its inherent durability, aluminum offers almost maintenance-free weather resistance, creating an inert oxidized layer that is highly resistant to corrosion, most pollutants and is not sensitive to UV rays.
Site Welding
The weatherization performance of the building is enhanced by site-welded interface junctions and penetrations.
Structural Performance
The structural performance of a roof is another major factor that can cause a roof to fail.
STRUCTURAL PERFORMANCE TEST, ASTM E 1592

Skylight System
Daylight is one of nature’s most valuable assets. Several studies have demonstrated that buildings boasting high levels of natural light perform better than those that use artificial lighting. Despite the fact that people have an innate attraction to and need for daylight, natural light enhances human vision and brain function.
The proper design of the Skylight system can help reduce the costs associated with electricity and HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning). We specifically design and custom manufacture a range of integrated upstands or Soakers for our Aegis systems to accommodate a variety of daylighting solutions such as domes, multiple vaults, and more.
Fall Arrest Safety System
Tests and approvals should be conducted to ensure compatibility with Aegis. It is imperative that they conform to the latest codes and standards, both national and international, to provide the highest level of protection. By using S5 Clamps, these systems eliminate thermal bridges and enable fast, easy installation.

Optional System
Solar PV Mounted on Aegis System
The process of installing solar PV systems on ARCO's Standing Seam roofs is relatively straightforward and fast, which reduces installation time and labor costs. The S5 clamps are secured directly over the seam with the technology of utilizing round-point setscrews for a secure mechanical interlock. The benefit of using a seam clamp is that there is no need to penetrate the roof, therefore no risk of water leakage.
ACP / Grating Mounted on Aegis System
ACP / Grating Systems are attached to the seams by means of S5 clamps. The position and quantity of clamps are to be stated in the statics or installation plan of the system ( to be verified by ARCO's Engineer ). S5 clamps are used for fastening accessory components to ARCO’s Standing Seam profile sheets without making any perforations.
