PROBLEM

Bahriyah Oasis, with significant economic, social, and environmental potential, faces challenges in effectively harnessing these resources for sustainable development, including underdevelopment, limited access to global markets, insufficient local entrepreneurship support, inadequate infrastructure, and inadequate waste management.

CONCEPT

The Hub is designed to crystallize the Bahriyah Oasis's economic, social, and environmental potential. Acting as a gateway for growth, empowering local entrepreneurs, and fostering the connection of Bahriyah Oasis to the global marketplace, fostering a fusion of local ingenuity and global opportunity.

01-Graduation Project

FORM GENERATION

The design of the business hub responds to the vernacular architecture and the surrounding desert and palm fields' landscape. The concept is derived from spontaneous architecture that forms according to the user ’ s activity and the land topography.

This idea formed the main spine representing the local market. Embracing the cultural identity of Bahariya Oasis, and the masses are inspired by the linearity of the palm fields and using local materials.
