AcandidateneedstohaveaclearideaabouttheCSIRNETeligibilitycriteriain ordertoprepareaccordingly Ifacandidateisineligibleforanystage,thenhe/she willnotbeabletoappearfortheCSIRNETexamination Theeligibilitycriteriafor thesamedependingontheagelimit,educationalqualificationandnationality

AsofJuly1,2023,themaximumagelimitforacandidateapplyingfortheCSIRNET examis28yearsforthegeneralcategory Although,thereservedcategory,itis dierent ForST,SC,FemaleCandidatesandPhysicallydisabledCandidates,the upperagelimitcanberelaxeduptofiveyears However,forOBC,theupperage limitcanberelaxedupto3years Also,thereisnostipulatedagelimitfor lectureshipinCSIRNETexamination.

CandidatesapplyingforCSIRNETintheyear2023mustbeIndianCitizen Ifthe candidateisfoundholdingcitizenshipofanyothercountry,thenhe/shewillnotbe abletoapplyfortheexamination

.Educational Qualification:

CandidateswillingforCSIRNETin2023mustholdadegreeinBTech/ BPharma/MSc/MBBS/BS-4/IntegratedBS-MSorequivalentdegreewitha minimumof55%marks

CandidatescurrentlypursuingtheirMScarealsoeligibletoapplyforCSIRNET examinationundertheresultawaitedcategory

Candidateswhobelongtothereservedcategoryaregivena5%relaxationin themarks,whichmeanstheywillgeteligibleiftheyattainatleast50%marks Alongwiththat,candidateswhohavecompletedaBScandareenrolledinan IntegratedMS-PhDprogrammewithaminimumof55%marksareeligibleto apply

Candidateswhohadcompletedtheirmaster'sdegreebeforeSeptember1992 andgotaminimumof50%marksarealsoeligibletoapplyforCSIRNET lectureship
