Principal’s message I congratulate our Class of 2016 on their success in the VCE. All of our students successfully completed the VCE with more than one in three achieving an ATAR of 90 or above. The median ATAR of 82.05 means that more than half of the year level achieved in the top 18% of the state. The Dux of the School for 2016 was Prahn Nicholson who achieved an ATAR of 99.80. This is an outstanding achievement. For the whole class, 21.1% of the study score were over 40 and the median study score for the year was 34. There were four perfect study scores of 50 achieved this year. The overall result was the strongest performance by Yarra Valley Grammar students in the VCE to date. We are very proud of the efforts of the Class of 2016. They have worked consistently well together as a group and contributed more broadly in a very positive way to the life of our School during their time with us. Dr Mark Merry Principal
