Bi-annual census of jaguars and fauna monitoring
We monitor the fluctuation of the jaguar population, which increased from 11 animals in 2009 to 24 in 2020. We also monitor continuously the fauna of the park
We study the base of prey for the jaguars and evaluate their diet
We evaluate the vegetation corridors outside the park to verify their use by big cats
We capture and install satellite collars on jaguars, to study their movements, territory, home range and feeding habits
